CSR Project – December – Lama Gramaya Child Development Centre, Hanwella

SLAAPS donated school shoes and socks to 65 children at Lama Gramaya Child Development Centre, Niripola, Hanwella. There were 53 girls and 12 boys of the ages from 5 to 12 and 18 years of which 5 girls were to sit the GCE O/L examination to be held in December. As the project needed more funds, an announcement was made at the Members Day requesting for voluntary contributions from the members for this worthy cause. Shoes and socks were donated on 7 December 2014 to the children at a small function organized by Sister Dinesha, where the children showed their talents in singing and dancing. Executive Committee members of SLAAPS hosted them with refreshments.
